Griffith Visitor Information Center Open Day 2018

The Griffith Visitor Information Center held its inaugural Open Day on Saturday 5th of May. The day was a great success with over 300 locals and visitors attending the open day.
Griffith center event coordinator Mirella Guidolin explained the purpose of the event. “The main idea was to encourage locals that haven’t been into the Center before to come and see what we’re all about and what we have on offer and I’m pleased to say we achieved our goal! And having some of our local producers and products on hand for tastings certainly gave everyone a taste of Griffith and the region!”.

Almondco was proud to be involved with the open day and showcased some freshly roasted new season Almondco for sampling, which was very well received by those in attendance. Additionally we had some some information brochures and video content on show in order members of Griffith and Riverina community to learn more about the Almondco cooperative.

Almondco is increasingly becoming a very important part of the Riverina community with our cooperative grower base growing in the region and with our new state of the art Hanwood Hulling and Shelling facility opening in late 2017.

Local producers on hand were: Dissegna Premium Family Produce (olive oil and jams), Morella Grove (olive oil & caramelised balsamic vinegar), O’Donnell’s Organics (jams and relishes), Codemo Smallgoods (salami) and Almondco almonds!
