What certifications does Almondco have?
Almondco is supplied by over 150 HACCP accredited growers from its growing regions. We are proud to have achieved Grade A accreditation under the British Retail Consortium (BRC) which is the leading authority for global food safety.
Why does Almondco employ pasteurisation and what is the process?
As almonds are harvested, they come into contact with the orchard floor. This contact means there is a small risk of pathogens being transferred onto the almonds. Our state of the art in-line pasteurisation cleans each individual almond with a short burst of steam over a period time to significantly reduce the chance of pathogens on the almonds.
